Meet
the midwife

My journey into birth work was not a direct one. I began my professional life in education, teaching at both the elementary and middle school levels for several years. After having children, I spent over a decade as a stay-at-home mother, a season that profoundly shaped both my personal life and my approach to care.

My first two sons were born in the hospital, unmedicated. Wanting something different for my third baby, I learned about a local birth center and went on to have my third son and my only daughter there. That out-of-hospital experience, combined with early memories of witnessing two of my cousins being born, ignited a deep passion for birth work and ultimately led me into midwifery.

In 2018, I became a doula and then a birth assistant. In 2019, I enrolled in midwifery school, and I have been in active practice as a midwife since August 2021. I am a Florida Licensed Midwife and a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) credentialed through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM). I am a graduate of the International Institute for Healthcare Professionals and maintain current certifications in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation through the American Heart Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics (AHA/AAP NRP).

Midwifery is both my passion and my ministry, and I truly believe God has led me to this calling. I view pregnancy and birth as sacred, God-designed processes and consider it an honor and a responsibility to walk alongside families during such an intimate and transformative season of life. I approach this work with humility, prayer, and deep gratitude, never taking for granted the trust families place in me.

I practice exclusively within the scope of Florida Licensed Midwifery. I am not a physician, nurse, or nurse-midwife and do not provide medical care in a hospital setting. I currently provide planned home birth services in Lee and Collier Counties and see clients for prenatal and postpartum visits in Fort Myers at Pediatric and Perinatal Chiropractic Center. In order to provide safe, attentive, and individualized care, I intentionally limit the number of clients I accept each month.

On a personal note, I am a mother to four — Jakob, Kaeden, Greyson, and Joella (“Joey”) — and live in South Fort Myers. I share my home with our mini goldendoodle, Violet. I am an introvert at heart and value quiet time to recharge, which I believe allows me to be fully present and grounded in my work. I enjoy baking, caring for my ever-growing collection of plants, listening to music, and attending concerts whenever I can.
